Launch-day Linux status

As of September 8, one Steam discussion reports that the configured Linux/Steam Deck executable SteamDeck_Build.x86_64 is missing from the installed files, and another user replies that they see the same problem. Steam distribution metadata does configure that executable. This is a dated player report, not an official confirmation that every Linux installation fails.

If you see the error, verify installed files in Steam, confirm you are on the current public build, and check the linked discussion for a developer response. Do not download replacement executables from unofficial sources.

Reporting crashes or blocked progress

Record the public build ID, operating system, hardware, exact action, and whether the issue repeats after verifying files. Preserve your save before experimenting.
